Epsilon Mu Lambda History

Approximately forty-five (45) years after the founding of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., there were seven young men in the Pensacola area who had a desire to continue in the same tradition of our founding Jewels.  Each of these young men had become affiliated with Alpha Phi Alpha at various Historically Black Colleges.  After a number of organizational meetings, they applied for a charter from the National Office in January 1951.  The charter was received activating the chapter effective January 1, 1951.
